Gitanjali Lifestyle signs JV with Kuwait based Hassan`s Optician

Gitanjali Gems Ltd has informed that Gitanjali Lifestyle Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company has signed a Joint Venture Agreement with Kuwait based Hassan`s Optician Company, LLC to form a Joint Venture Company by way of subscription to equal number of equity shares of the proposed Company. Further the Company has informed that, the proposed joint venture Company will carry on the business of purchase, import, retail and wholesale trading, distribution and manufacture of sunglasses, eyewear, contact lenses, opticals and other similar products and related accessory under different brand names as may be agreed between the Joint Venture Partners. Hassan`s Opticals has the biggest share of the optics business in Kuwait and branches on several continents. Hassan`s Optician`s laboratories and workshops are some of the most sophisticated in the Middle East.The company also undertakes technical work for many other prominent opticians in Kuwait.
