Marlboro Classics opens in Shanghai

After openings in London, Venice and Monaco Marlboro Classics has increased its presence in China with the launch of a new store in Shanghai. Developed in conjunction with commercial partner Yun San Shanghai the new 190 m² boutique is located in the Plaza 353 shopping centre, close to the Bund seafront promenade which attracts millions of foreign tourists. “As we expected the Far East has taken on a very important role in the development of our brand,” said Paolo Vazzoler, Director of the Marlboro Classics Division, to MFF, “and the location which hosts the new shop is a very busy area, with a different buying power from the other shop we launched in Shanghai last spring." "We have now reached a total of eight stores in this city and we believe there is still room for expansion”. In the meantime this brand has 13 boutiques and 59 shop-in-shops in China, and is now planning a new 250 m² boutique in Peking; a sign that the eastern mark is also a prime target for Marlboro Classics.
