Vietnamese footwear imports under scanner for anti-dumping
Brazilian Association of Shoe Manufacturers(Abicalcado), that operates as an advocate for the policies favored by the shoe industry, has recently sent a petition to the Brazilian Trade Protection Agency to carry out an anti-dumping investigation against Vietnamese shoes exported to the country. Now, Vietnamese shoes with leather caps, footwear made by rubber latex, with rubber and leather soles, coded from 6420 to 6405 (except for 6402.12.00, 6402.20.00, 6403.12.00, 6403.20.20), will come under scanner for anti-dumping. Available statistics show that in the period from January to November of the ongoing year, Brazil expended nearly US $40 million on Made-in Vietnam footwear which is quite high in value in comparison to previous years.
